Cancellation/Refund Scenario - General Terms
If any fare is not refundable then no part of the fare + YQ/YR will be refunded.
Fees apply for adult, child, and infant residents. Fees (including no-show fees) will not apply if the child is not seated. This means that children and infants sitting on a seat will have to pay the same change/cancellation penalty as an adult passenger.
Change/no-show fees collected under XP in the tax area will remain non-refundable.
Only one fee will be charged in case of a show. Either a no-show or cancellation fee, whichever is higher please see the No-Show definition for no-show scenarios.
Where tickets are issued on the basis of at least two fares (for example promotional fares combined with flexi fares) the most restrictive rules will apply.
If a passenger was denied check-in due to not having a valid travel document (passport, visa, etc.) – all applicable cancellation and no-show fees should be charged.
Refunds will be refused if the application is made after the validity of the ticket has expired.
If a ticket has been reissued/exchanged multiple times and is ultimately presented for cancellation, the highest cancellation fee/non-refundable amount will be applicable to all reissued/exchanged fares.
Unloading after cancellation:
Whenever there is a cancellation, re-booking, or refund of a segment 48 hours to 3 hours before departure, the travel agent should check whether the e-ticket coupon:
Airport Control "A" - control of coupons sent from the QR reservation system to the departure control system or to another airline (operating carrier of a code-share flight or interline carrier).
Checked in “C” – The passenger has been checked in and is entitled to board the aircraft.
Fare Validity
Fare validity is defined as the maximum period within which a journey can be traveled at a given fare. For each fare, validity is governed by the maximum stay rule of the fare period/period. Any fare governed by the maximum stay rule can be upgraded to a higher fare level with a longer maximum stay (not exceeding 12 months of ticket validity) on payment of applicable fare difference and change charges.
